Mazkur maqolada passiv optik tarmoqlarni, ayniqsa markaziy optik blokni - optik chiziqni tugatishni himoya qilishning innovatsion usulini taklif qiladi. Odatda PON tarmoqlari uchun ishlatiladigan standart daraxt yoki yulduz topologiyalari, asosan, OLT bloki yoki ta’minlovchi optik kabelning nosozliklari va nosozliklariga nisbatan sezilarli darajada zaifdir. Ushbu maqolada taklif qilingan usul passiv optik ajratgichlar yordamida halqa topologiyasi bilan PON tarmog'ini shakllantirishga qaratilgan. Asosiy maqsad ikkala OLT blokini halqaning qarama-qarshi tomonlariga joylashtirish imkoniyatiga asoslanadi, bu esa tarmoqning qarshiligini oshirishi mumkin. Ushbu maqolada halqa topologiyasining himoya qilish usullari keltirilib tahlil qilingan.
